Services

We are a full service dental office which provides all services to keep you teeth for a lifetime.  We emphasize preventive care because most dental problems can be prevented.  We enjoy educating our patients about taking care of their teeth.  When problems do arise, our office uses the latest techniques to diagnose and treat dental disease.  Most importantly, we are here to discuss our findings with you, and provide all treatment options.  Together we can decide what is the best option for you.
  • Preventive Dentistry

We recommend regular recall visits which include a review of your medical history, blood pressure screening, comprehensive oral exam including oral cancer screening and TMJ (Jaw) evaluation. We then use a state of the art digital x-ray unit (which provides up to 80% less radiation than conventional dental x-rays). You will have a thorough dental prophylaxis (cleaning) followed by discussion of any dental concerns you may have with Dr. Gleaner.  We may suggest Flouride treatment, or other treatments to prevent disease.  This is also an excellent time to discuss the latest in cosmetic dentistry, including bleaching, bonding, or Invisalign to give you a great smile.
  • Cavities

Even the most fastidious patients can develop a cavity, and we are here to diagnose them at early stages and present your different filling options.  With small to moderate size cavities, we generally use white (composite) fillings, which are esthetically pleasing. Other material we use include amalgam, porcelain, and even gold, which continues to be an excellent restoration in some cases.  Larger cavities which cannot be restored with simple fillings may require aesthetic and long lasting porcelain crowns (also know as "Caps").  We will recommend what is best and together will decide what makes sense for your treatment.
  • Cosmetic Dentistry

Part of our initial comprehensive exam includes a "Smile Analysis" with the use of photographs to evaluate areas that you would like to improve.  Modern Dentistry provides us with a large array of services, including porcelain veneers, bonding, in office ("1 Hour") bleaching, at home whitening techniques, and white fillings to replace old amalgam (silver) fillings.  Crooked and overlapped teeth may be easily straightened with "Invisalign" which can gently guide your teeth with a series of plastic trays to line up your teeth naturally.  Dr. Gleaner is a certified Invisalign provider and will be happy to discuss this and all other cosmetic options.
  • Emergency Treatment

We know how a tooth ache or broken tooth can affect your life.  Call us as soon as possible so we can diagnose the problem and put you at ease.  If this occurs, tell our receptionist the nature of the problem so she can get you into our schedule the same day, if possible.  Most dental emergencies start as annoying symptoms and build into much greater problems.  It is our experience that the sooner we see you, the easier it is for both of us to solve the problem.  For your convenience, we have an dental lab to make most simple denture repairs, or use a local offsite lab for more complicated emergencies to return your denture usually within one day.
  • Tooth Replacement

Loss of a tooth can create difficulties in chewing, affect the teeth around the space, gum and bone problems, and esthetic issues.  Each patient is different and we evaluate each situation and discuss all options.  These may include:

IMPLANTS: Titaniium roots placed into the bone with natural teeth attached to them.

FIXED BRIDGE: Porcelain crowns attached to your natural teeth which includes the missing teeth

REMOVABLE BRIDGES AND FULL DENTURES: Plastic and sometimes metal "plates" with clips that replace the missing teeth.

NOTHING: An unfortunate choice in most cases, but certainly something that is discussed with the patient and advised of the risks of leaving spaces for long periods of time.

Replacement of front teeth for esthetic reasons can be done quickly and easily so you can restore a great smile!

  • Periodontal (Gum) Treatment

Most adults lose teeth not because of cavities but because of  Periodontal Disease, which is infection of the gums and supporting bone.  This is generally a painless condition which as it advances, leads to bleeding gums and tooth loss. We offer a wide range of non-surgical treatment for this, including scaling and root planing to slow this process and help you keep your teeth.  In more advanced stages we work closely with several Periodontists if surgery is required.
  • Root Canal (nerve) Treatment

As cavities grow larger it becomes impossible to place simple fillings, as the cavity (decay) goes into the nerve.  Rather than remove the tooth, Root Canal Treatment  cleans out the infected nerve, removes the pain, and allows us to restore the tooth to proper form and function.  Most importantly, this can usually be done in one visit, and removes your pain within hours, in most cases.
  • Children's Dentistry

WE LOVE TREATING CHILDREN! Children have 20 baby teeth and every one is important to maintain proper function and to save the spaces for permanent teeth.  But behind every one of those teeth is a child which may need extra care to allay any of their fears.  We spend our time to make every child comfortable and understand, on their level, how important it is that they take care of their teeth.  In most cases, we can treat most children easily and comfortably.  In more advanced cases, Dr. Gleaner can discuss with you the options of going to a specialist, if needed.

Making your treatment affordable

We recognize that dental treatment can sometimes be expensive.  We never want to let finances stand in the way of much needed treatment.  We have a variety of financial options available to help you make it more affordable.

At your initial consultation, please give us information regarding any insurance information you may have.  We accept many plans and can usually tell you at an initial phone consultation.

You may be surprised, but more than half our patients do not have dental insurance.  In today's economy, many companies simply cannot afford to offer it to their employees.  With this is mind, we try to make your treatment fit your budget.  Following your consultation, we will present you a plan which will outline exactly what your portion will be.  We can set up affordable payment plans, including interest free options, or longer term financing for up to 5 years, if qualified.
